Buying a house is not a minor investment. This is probably the biggest deal you will make in your life, especially considering that house and apartment prices are rising all the time. But some prefer to choose a somewhat less conventional approach to the housing market.

Iona Stewart and Martin Hill from the UK certainly did it in their own way and built their own dream house – at only $4,600!

The British couple Iona Stewart and Martin Hill love to travel. So they wanted to find the perfect house for them – one that would allow them to live comfortably and also move when they wanted. So they decided to invest in a mobile home on wheels.

They checked the internet and found a used truck and decided to buy it and turn it into a house. The truck, which was previously used for delivering bread, costed $4,600.

The truck was theirs and they decided to transform it.

This, of course, was not an easy task, and it is hard to understand how they managed to do everything. But they worked hard and worked day and night for four months. And now they have their dream house – and we can only applaud them. What an amazing transformation!

The couple spent about £20,000 (about $25,900) on the renovation. This means that the overall cost was slightly more than $30,000 in total. Amazing.
