Ozzy Osbourne prepares to “say goodbye” as wife confirms the rumors are true

Ozzy Osbourne will get the chance to bid farewell to his fans once and for all after health complications have prevented him from performing as he would like.

The music icon has made it clear in the past few years that he wants to play in front of a crowd again, but he was unfortunately forced to cancel a scheduled appearance at the Power Trip festival in 2023, admitting he just wasn’t ready.

Now it’s the 75-year-old’s wife, Sharon Osbourne, who has offered an update as to Ozzy’s future, revealing that there are two farewell shows being planned in the UK.

Given the long and storied career that Ozzy Osbourne enjoyed, it’s hardly a surprise that Father Time is finally beginning to catch up with him.

The Hellraiser singer had planned to return to the stage last year but was sadly forced to postpone things until 2024. Now, it looks as though he’ll finally get his chance to entertain the masses again, though it will be in the form of a farewell show.

“He won’t tour again but we are planning on doing two more shows to say goodbye as he feels like ‘I have never said goodbye to my fans and I want to say goodbye properly’,” Sharon said.

She went on to add that said shows could take place in Aston, Birmingham, where Ozzy is from.

“His voice is still absolutely perfect,” she went on. “And all the time he has been off he still does his singing lessons so his voice is perfect. And he can joke yeah. He has all these melodies in his head. Even if you don’t like his music you can’t not like Ozzy, he just draws you in.”

While saying an official farewell to the one of the most influential music personalities of the last century might be sad, Ozzy’s recent health woes speak for themselves in terms of severity.

Included in the lengthy list of complications is a serious spine injury the Crazy Train singer sustained in a 2003 ATV accident – after which he suffered multiple fractured bones. Ozzy also had a serious fall at home in 2019 that he previously said via a Twitter update “screwed up all the vertebrae” in his neck.

The former Black Sabbath frontman also has Parkinson’s, a diagnosis he first revealed in 2020.

Here’s to wishing Ozzy Osbourne all the very best moving forward.
