President Donald Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan obliterated CNN’s Kaitlan Collins during a tense interview about the administration’s mass deportation operation.
During an interview on “The Source,” Homan held his ground when Collins asked about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) going after illegal aliens hiding out in schools, churches, and hospitals so they could avoid being deported.
“What is the standard, I guess, to go into an elementary school?” Collins asked. “Because what we had heard from immigration advocates is that this is going to provide a chilling effect to parents in the school drop-off line or something of that matter.”
“It shouldn’t be a chilling effect unless your child is a terrorist or a public safety threat. If they are a public safety threat, a national security threat, they should be chilled. They should be afraid, because we’re looking for them,” Homan responded.
Collins said that the concern was really about parents who are illegal aliens.
“They’re not off the table either. I mean, they’re in the country illegally, they have got a problem,” Collins said. “I mean, it’s not OK — look, we — it’s not OK to enter this country illegally. It’s a crime. And that’s the way it’s supposed to be. I wouldn’t feel comfortable if I’m in Switzerland illegally. So we’re going to enforce the laws of this country.”
“National security threats and public safety threats have no safe haven in this country, and we will go where we got to go,” he added.

President Donald Trump’s “border czar” gave an update on the administration’s mass deportation efforts during an appearance on Fox News Thursday evening, noting that federal immigration authorities are getting an even bigger assist from the Pentagon than initially expected.
Tom Homan told host Will Cain that the Defense Department was providing more air transportation support, which not only frees up Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to round up criminal aliens but also provides some relief for the strained Department of Homeland Security budget.
“You have been offered the assistance of the United States military for airlift support,” Cain said during a segment, noting in particular that the Air Force would be providing four aircraft to help remove up to 5,000 illegal migrants from the country before asking Homan to describe the value of the assistance.
“Absolutely necessary,” Homan said. “We have limited funding right now, so anything DoD can step in and do is a force multiplier. Whatever DoD does, whether it’s building infrastructure, whether it’s flying planes, doing transportation, that means an ICE badge and gun is not stuck with those types of duties and is actually on the street looking for the bad guy.”
Continuing, Homan, said, “This was in the plans for a while. We made this happen in a matter of three days. So yeah, they’re welcome.”

Earlier this month, Homan was on hand in Chicago, one of several Democrat-run cities whose mayor has vowed to fight the Trump administration on its immigration plans, where he said deportation operations would begin on “day one.”
“All that starts January 21st, and we’re going to start right here in Chicago, Illinois. If your Chicago mayor doesn’t want to help, he can step aside. But if he impedes us — if he knowingly harbors or conceals an illegal alien — I will prosecute him,” Homan declared while sending a stern warning to Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson.
He also took a swipe at the state’s Democrat Gov. JB Pritzker in his speech.
“Chicago is in trouble because your mayor sucks and your governor sucks. January 21st, you’re going to look for a lot of ICE agents in your city, looking for criminals and gang members,” Homan said, indicating that the deportations would start the day after the inauguration of the president-elect.
During a subsequent interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Homan further elaborated on the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement plans, declaring that ICE would “finally” be allowed to carry out its responsibilities by deporting millions of undocumented migrants.
Watters asked Homan about reports claiming, “There’s going to be a big raid all across the country.”
Homan not only vowed deportations on day one but that ICE is being told to enforce immigration law “without apology.”
“ICE is finally going to go out and do their job,’ he said. “We’re going to take the handcuffs off ICE and let them go arrest criminal aliens.”
Watters asked, “Am I blowing your cover when I announce that there’s going to be a big raid in Chicago on Tuesday? Or do you want people to know maybe they can self-deport?”
“There’s going to be a big raid all across the country. Chicago is just one of many places. We got 24 field offices across the country. On Tuesday, you’re going expect ICE — ICE is finally going to go out and do their job. We’re going to take the handcuffs off ICE and let them go arrest criminal aliens. That’s what’s going to happen,” Homan pledged.
The Fox host then asked Homan what agents have mostly been doing over the past four years of the Biden-Harris regime.
“They haven’t been able to do much because Secretary Mayorkas had new ICE priorities. Get this. Now, the secretary of Homeland Security has told ICE you can’t arrest an illegal alien if he’s just here illegally,” Homan responded. “He’s got to be convicted of a serious crime or be a national security threat. He told immigration officers not to enforce immigration law.”
