His family extends their gratitude to all who supported him, especially Willow Green Care Home.” The actor’s family plans to hold a private cremation ceremony for close friends and family, followed by a “celebratory memorial” later in the year. While the specific cause of his passing remains undisclosed, tributes have poured in from colleagues and fans alike, reflecting on his immense contributions to the world of comedy.

Ricky Gervais, the genius behind The Office, paid a heartfelt tribute to MacIntosh on social media, remembering him as “very funny and very lovely,” and praising him as an “absolute original.” In addition to his iconic role in The Office, MacIntosh made his mark on British comedy, appearing in popular series such as Miranda and Little Britain. His final acting credit was in the 2017 romantic comedy, Finding Fatimah.
