The video below features the first time Patrick Swayze danced with his beloved wife on international TV. The year was 1994, and it was the World Music Awards. That’s when Patrick Swayze came onstage with his beautiful wife, Lisa Nieme. Together, the duo moved gracefully to “All the Man That I Need,” a song that was first recorded as “All the Man I Need” by Linda Clifford in 1982 and was later covered by Whitney Houston in 1991.
Whitney’s rendition reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, and it remains her fourth biggest hit on that chart. This dance routine by Swayze and Nieme was a gesture of acknowledgment to the incredibly talented Whitney herself. You are going to be stumped when you see how wonderfully they performed! This event was conducted some years after Dirty Dancing, and it was a huge performance on Patrick’s part.
The duo displayed some very effortless moves. It is clear that both of them are incredible dancers and performers. They shared an exceptional bond. Patrick and Lisa were married for 34 years until he passed away in 2009. Swayze met Lisa in 1970 when he was only 18, and she was taking dance lessons from his mother. At the end of the video, you can see Whitney Houston applauding with all her heart.
