After her highly publicized legal battle with actor Johnny Depp, it seems that Amber Heard has decided to leave the United States behind. Currently, she is enjoying her time in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, with her one-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige Heard. Her host in Spain is Bianca Butti, a Hollywood writer, producer, and cinematographer who shares Amber’s fondness for living outside of the United States.
Since Johnny Depp’s victory in the defamation lawsuit, Amber has been keeping a low profile in Spain. She seeks solace away from the public eye, dedicating her time to her daughter and embracing a life free from Depp’s lingering influence.
Unfortunately, Amber is facing some financial difficulties. As a consequence of the court’s verdict, she has been ordered to pay $8.3 million. However, she is currently appealing the case, hoping for a reduced or even nullified amount.
Regrettably, Amber’s chances of avoiding the $8.3 million penalty are exceedingly slim. One judge has already denied her appeal request, which sought to declare a mistrial and conduct the proceedings as if it were the first time, in front of a televised audience.
Amber filed the appeal on July 1, 2022, arguing discrepancies in the jury selection process. Her legal team believes that these discrepancies are significant enough to overturn the current verdict, which is unfavorable to her.
While Amber heals from the legal battle in Spain, she is taking it easy and enjoying her time in a country that offers the beautiful Mediterranean Sea as its border. She cherishes every moment spent with her baby daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard, and has a great time with her friend Butti, a skilled director with a few film credits to her name.
In terms of her acting career, Amber’s most recent appearances were in “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” and “In the Fire,” which is currently in post-production.
Meanwhile, Johnny Depp continues to thrive in Hollywood. He is set to star in a new Netflix film called “La Favorite” and is also working on another installment of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise. Additionally, he will appear in the upcoming film “Fantastic Beasts 3.” It seems like both Amber and Johnny are moving on just fine without each other. However, Johnny’s recent court victory has certainly propelled him to new heights of success.
