A seller recently put up a home for sale in Los Angeles, and the listing certainly isn’t receiving rave reviews. Even though it is located in the high-end neighborhood of Northridge, Los Angeles, this home is truly an awful, dilapidated eyesore.
Because the home is located in a very nice neighborhood, it is listed at a price that has raised quite a few eyebrows.
For its listed asking price of $475,000, one might expect an inspiring, well-maintained home. Instead, it looks as if this tired old husk hasn’t received any care since it was built in 1956.
From the outside, it is obvious that this house is in a state of complete disrepair. The home’s inside is even worse, with a run-down, almost shattered appearance.
The overall sleaziness of this interior is accentuated by its disgusting brown stains and unidentifiable splotches. Despite its terrible condition, this home’s location almost ensures it will receive interest from buyers.
At the same time, it’s difficult to imagine anyone paying $475,000 for such a damaged piece of property.
In this ritzy area, the average household’s income is about $77,000. The average selling price for area homes rests at $345,000. Without doubt, anyone who actually buys this property will have to tear down the dilapidated house and rebuild it from the ground up.
As it is now, it is hard to believe this house once shared a neighborhood with Hollywood stars and major athletic figures. However ideal this neighborhood may be, it is tough to imagine anyone purchasing this home for $475,000.
